Frequently Asked Question’s

Availability

Since we tend to book up quickly it is suggested you reserve as far in advance as possible. We take reservations through the following year, and by booking early your chances of getting a villa in Delta Nature Resort are even better.

Best time to visit

April and May for “spring migration”, September and October for “autumn migration”.

Cancellations policy

We require a 15 day notice for cancellations, including rescheduling and early departures. If the need to cancel should arise, you should contact us more than 15 days from your booking date. You will be refunded full amount minus a Euro 25 booking fee. If you contact us fifteen days or less from your booking date the deposit is non-refundable.

Church services

Tulcea (14 kms from the resort) has a Catholic church, a Synagogue, a Mosque and a Russian Orthodox church.

Credit cards use

VISA, MASTERCARD can be used in the resort. There are no banc mats in the resort.

Check-in and check-out times

Check-in is 2.00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 12.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Late check out is charged E 15 till 4.00 p.m. , E 30 till 6.00 p.m. and full rate for checking out after 6.00 p.m.

Conference room

The Conference Room has 112 s-m and there are seats for 60 persons in “Theater style” or 48 seats in “U” shape.

Drinking water

The water at Delta Nature Resort is fresh from our underground. We don’t recommend that you drink the water; however, it is perfectly safe for showers and to brush your teeth, we have installed water filters. Complimentary bottled water is also provided in all rooms.

Helicopter services

Yes, we have a functional helipad in the resort.

Internet access

Delta Nature Resort now offers free wireless internet in all common areas.

Laundry facilities

Yes, the laundry is available during your stay.

Language spoken

All our staff speaks Romanian and English. There are some with knowledge of French too.

Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes live in areas of vegetation and water and they appear in the evening, from sunset until about midnight. Mosquito’s occur in summer months between June and September. If there is a bit of wind, quite normal in these months, mosquitoes disappear. Customers have total protection in the villas. At the windows are nets so mosquitoes cannot come in. Customers also have the option of air conditioning. We also have special trees planted throughout the resort named Paulownia (Princess’s Tree) which keep most mosquitoes away from the villas. Having dinner on the restaurant terrace is a treat, with its fantastic views and sunset. We have an anti mosquito ’zapper’ on the restaurant terrace and we offer anti mosquito smoke spirals. Customers can also ask at the Reception for anti-mosquito spray. Dinner can be served also inside the restaurant, which is mosquito free.”

Mobile phone networks at the resort

Any of the major networks in Romania (Vodafone, Orange, Telekom) are available in the resort.

Medical services

We have a permanent contact with the emergency medical services. An ambulance can arrive in the resort within 20 minutes to transport the sick person to Tulcea Emergency Hospital.

Outside food and drinks

Bringing food and drinks into the resort is forbidden. We do our best to satisfy our guests with the food prepared in our kitchen.

“Premium” and “Delux villa” difference

Both types of villas have the same configuration (60 s-m) and the same amenities. “Premium” villas have a wonderful view to Somova lake. They also have LCD TV and coffee machines. During the winter, only the “Premium” villas are heated.

Pets

Due to potential allergy and cleaning concerns we ask that our guests not bring pets into the villa or restaurant.

Resort opening

Delta Nature Resort will be opened on 1st of April 2011 and will be operational the whole year.

Reservations

Please fill “Reservation request” and send it to e-mail address reservations@deltaresort.com. A deposit representing the first night accommodation is required to hold the reservation and payment must be received within 7 days of making a reservation.

Shopping

If you want to go shopping, the closest shops are in Tulcea city (17 km from the resort).

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in inside the villas, restaurant and conference room. The only exception is in the bar of the resort (close to Feathers Restaurant).

Swimming pool

The resort has a swimming pool which is outdoors and not heated. Close to the swimming pool there is a Jacuzzi.

Transportation to/from the Otopeni/Bucharest Airport

The resort can provide a Mercedes car to transfer you from/to the main Airport of Romania. The resort is at about 300 km from this airport and the one way takes about 3 ½ hours.

Voltage at the resort

The voltage is 220 volts. There are adaptors in the reception for other sockets.

Vegetarian food

Yes, we can prepare and serve you with a very tasteful vegetarian food. You have only to inform us in advance about your wish.

Weddings at resort

Yes, we have organized weddings in the resort and we can organize such ceremonies for up to 70 guests.
